I had some pretty good stock-up trips this past week! I redeemed a rain check for wine from Fareway and bought 12 bottles of Merlot for $30. I also found wine on clearance at Walgreens and bought another six there for $10. I think I’m stocked on wine for a while! I also stocked up on coffee and sausage. Stocking up on the good deals is how I stick to my $250 a month grocery budget. I’m shaving $60 from my budget this month and another $50 off March’s budget because I need to make a bulk purchase of laundry soap soon. I’ll be posting on that later in the week. Anyhow, here’s what I bought:
At CVS:
I had ECBs to burn at CVS. I read that the Crest White Strips were producing a $10 ECB. They were on sale for $21.99 and I had a $10 coupon. I bought them with $10 ECB that we expiring soon but did not get the $10 ECB. Win some, loss some! I also had BOGO CVS coupons for the coke and free coupons from mycokerewards. So, I got 4 bottles of coke for free and paid just under $5 on my CVS gift card for the tuna. I got back no ECBs so now I’m out. But, it’s kind of a pain to get there, so now I don’t have to worry about expiring ECBs.
At Walgreens:
Here are my wine finds at Walgreens. I also got 4 bags of Starbucks coffee. It was a timely stock-up as we are about out of coffee. I have a raincheck for 2 more bags of Starbucks and I hope to get them next week.
At HyVee:
Hy-Vee had a great deal on sausage at $10/10. I had $1/2 coupons but by the time I got to the store, they were almost out. I bought 6 rolls and got rainchecks. So, I’ll get more later when they have it back in stock.
At Target:
I was especially happy with Target. I got the finish for free – they were on sale for $2.50 and I had $1.50 Target coupons and $1 manufacturer’s coupon. The Reeses were also free by combining a Target BOGO coupon with a manufacturer’s BOGO! I also combined Target coupons with manufacturer coupons for the Wheat Thins, mascara, and the cheese to get some good deals. Finally, I had great coupons for the eggs and soy sauce, but after I reviewed my receipt, I saw that they missed one coupon so I ended up paying $1 more than I should have. I paid a little over $12 for everything though, so I was still pretty happy with my bargains at Target.
And yes, the pictures are taken on my make shift ply-wood island top… Lovely, I tell ya.
Did you get any good deals this week?
