Congrats to Jessica. Comment #196 was chosen from Random.org as the winning comment!
Healthy Child, Healthy World has teamed up with Citrus Lane (Fresh finds. Parent tips. Delivered monthly.) to provide a Limited Edition Healthy Child, Healthy World subscription box for kids. How do you know what’s safe for your kiddos? With so many nasty, toxic chemicals out there, it’s hard to keep everything straight. Citrus Lane is here to help!
Citrus Lane offers gift box subscription service, care packages for parents, full of green alternatives to keep babies safe. Their boxes feature a variety of green products, toys, and snacks for kids in a subscription service. How cool is that? I have never heard of a “green” gift subscription for babies before. What a fabulous idea for a baby shower gift.
Each care package from Citrus Lane:
- Contains 4 – 5 “best-of” products
- Is based on the child’s age (from newborn to 3 years)
- Costs $25 (FREE shipping)
- But is worth $30-45 (plus a featured treat)
- Includes a new theme each month
- And is available as a 3, 6, or 12 month subscription service!
The particular box pictured above is really special. It is a limited-edition Healthy Child Healthy World box, curated by Executive Director, Rachel Lincoln Sarnoff, and features non-toxic products from brands like HAPPYBABY, Green Toys, BabyGanics and Dolphin Organics to help educate families on safer and healthier alternatives for the home and your baby’s nutrition. A percentage of proceeds go to the Healthy Child, Healthy World cause!
Some of you may know that I occasionally write posts for Healthy Child, Healthy World. I was thrilled to find out that my post Healthy New Year’s Resolutions won a prize! I’ll be getting my own Citrus Lane box in the mail soon, and even better, HCHW and Citrus Lane have provided me with one to giveaway to one lucky reader!
If you’d like your own Limited Edition HCHW Citrus Lane box, you have two choices!

My biggest concern is that there are so many products out there that are marketed as healthy, but really aren’t. I’m a label-reader, but there are so many people who just believe the big “Healthy For Your Kid Because it Has Real Fruit!” stickers that are plastered all over the package of candy apples (or whatever it is). Too many people don’t use their critical thinking skills…

i worry about toxins in foods for children, as it seems logical to follow that the impact is more critical on growing minds and bodies.
My biggest concern is that there is something lurking in children’s products that can cause some kind of health issue down the road. Most toys/gear/etc. for children are not organic or made of simple materials. As technology and society have “advanced” we have created new ways to poison our children. Such a shame!
I am most concerned with the chemicals that are found in the food my kids eat, water they drink, and that are found in consumer products we use.

Having a baby is one the most wonderful feeling in the world.
I am worried about the chemicals used now that will soon be shown to be harmful. For every chemical we take out, another one is used to replace it until it is also shown to be harmful. It is a ridiculous cycle.

I worry about BPA and plastics being in EVERYTHING my baby will come in contact with.

Biggest Concern would be hidden additives.
I worry about all the additives in my granddaughters food she loves

I like you on Facebook and I am concerned that my 2 yr old doesn’t get enough sleep and protein becaue he doesn’t eat meat well.
There is so much we have to read and look for on kids products.
I don’t know that one concern is the biggest unless you lump it all into my concerns about what all this exposure to artificial and altered products are doing to my child in the long run. We try to eat organic, bathe organic, and switched our bedding to organic. I have also been phasing out all non-stick cookware, and many other things.
I have an 8 day old baby so I worry about everything! lol But I’m worried about un-natural products and items used everyday that are actually toxic and unhealthy.

My biggest concern is actually knowing what is and isn’t safe. It seems like those things change so often I am worried I’m working on outdated information.
My little ones have very sensitive skin so it is always a big concern for me what it in the products I use on my children’s skin. It was so shocking to me that Johnson & Johnson is so harsh on the skin. With my first child I thought they were the go to company for baby products, but their products have so many chemicals in them. crazy…
My biggest concern is finding something that my kids actually enjoy that is healthy for them.

My biggest concern for my children is really about trying to weed out as much of the unhealthy stuff “out there” as possible – gmo’s, toxins like pesticides, artificial ingredients in foods, overexposure to chemicals, etc. The list could go on & on. I worry about the effects that these products will have on my children in the long run. You always hear about lawsuits against these big companies years and years after they’ve been making or distributing products or chemicals/medicines that have once been deemed safe, and are now known to cause cancer and other ailments.
