HCHW is such an admirable organization. Taking big business to task is no easy job. I’m glad someone is out there fighting to get GMOs labeled, pink slime removed from beef, and toxic chemicals removed from our lives. It’s a dirty, dirty world, and I’m thankful for organizations like Healthy Child, Healthy World.
Patagonia is also another admirable company that makes not only sports clothes and equipment, but high quality clothing for every day use too. They specialize in gear for the “silent sports,” like climbing, hiking, skiing, fly fishing – sports that don’t require a motor. They pledge 1% of their sales for the Planet and have “awarded over $46 million in cash and in-kind donations to domestic and international grassroots environmental groups making a difference in their local communities.”
To help get spread the word about their decision to give HCHW $10 for each pair of shoes sold thru 4/23, Patagonia sent me a free pair of shoes! Wahoooo! Baby needs a new pair of shoes! I had such a hard time picking out the shoes I wanted, but I finally made a decision and they showed up at my door today. I got a super cute pair of low, brown boots. They’ll come in really handy next winter. I am impressed with them. They are so cute and well made. Good choice!

I absolutely love the Women’s Merrell in Flaxen Espresso! I cannot believe that they have such an amazing selection of sandals – I can never seem to find a pair that I like anywhere. Here, I found a ton of them!
