My kids and I are in Missouri this Father’s Day. My hubs got to stay home to enjoy some peace and quiet today and my Dad got the chaos my family brings. In honor of Father’s Day ~ this post is dedicated to my Dad who inspires me to live a great life!
My Dad and my 4 kids. My oldest daughter thanks him for teaching her to drive my Grandpa’s electric golf cart…I’m not sure what he was thinking…
He’s trying hard to get this windmill to produce electricity. I tease him that it’s a beautiful lawn sculpture, but I do hope it starts to work one of these days.
His 5 KW solar panels, on the other hand, produce enough electricity to sell back to the grid. He’s given talks to clubs and inspired other families and businesses to install their own solar panel systems – including a 10KW system at his church!

His garden speaks for itself! Organized, tidy, prolific. I’ve learned a lot from watching him in his garden. A gardener’s shadow is the best defense for all kinds of problems, he tells me. That and planting enough to share with critters are key to his success, he says.
Six gorgeous kiddos – his daughters’ offspring. Expect good things from these kids. They are wonderful.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad! Thanks for teaching me to believe in good, work hard, and fight for what’s right.
