We’re heading home today from our annual Family Fun Fest ~ a weekend adventure with Grandma, Grandpa, cousins, aunts & uncles {on hubby’s side}. This year we headed out to see the Living History Farms in Des Moines – super fun! We were initially supposed to camp, but the weather was so hot that we opted for a hotel instead. As it turns out, it’s cooled down a bit, but I’m still happy about the hotel.
Now to think about food for the rest of the week! Here’s what I’m thinking…still trying to incorporate lots of fresh veggies from my garden – I have summer squash, kale, broccoli, onions right now.
Breakfasts ~
- German Pancakes
- Toast & Fruit
- Smoothies & Muffins
- Scones
- Egg Sandwiches
- Eggs & Sausage
Lunches ~
- Sandwiches
- Leftovers
- Salad & hard boiled eggs
- Beans & rice
Dinners ~
- Tortellini with sauteed veggies
- Tacos {extra for the freezer}
- Sausage, Potato & Kale Soup
- Lemon Broccoli Farfalle with Chicken – {I’m participating in a freezer meal exchange and will bring this x 9 – first time for a freezer meal exchange! I’ll let you know how it goes!}
- Homemade Pizza
- Greek Steak Pitas
- BBQ with extended family
Have you ever participated in a freezer meal exchange? I’d love to hear about it!

I’m popping in for a visit from Organizing Junkie’s Menu Plan Monday today!
You have a delicious menu planned. What beautiful vegetables.
I hope you continue to enjoy the summer in your neck of the woods.
Can you believe we were already at 101 degrees at 10am, in Las Vegas?!
