Petit Amuse Curated Artisan Treats ~ Review & Giveaway

A while back, Ben Appenzeller from Petit Amuse {a French term that refers to an off-menu one-bite appetizer specially prepared by a head chef to excite the palate} contacted me about hosting a review and giveaway of a new monthly sample box from his company. When I found out that the sample boxes contain gourmet foods sourced from small foods artisans that aren’t found in normal grocery stores, I was happy to oblige! And look what Ben sent me:

The box contained 5 yummy samples {which I hid from my kids and enjoyed all on my own…}

I loved the literature that came with the box and the box itself was tastefully wrapped with tissue paper. I loved the presentation of the whole sample box {almost} as much as the treats themselves.

My absolute favorite was the Garukabar – a hand made energy bar with whole peanuts, dried cranberries, and raw honey. It was sticky and sweet and super delicious.

I also really liked the Ice Wine Jelly from Canada. Wine jelly?! Who knew? It’s a sweet treat that I really enjoyed on my own home made bread. Everything in the box was tasty, but these two products were my favorite.

If you’re curious about Petit Amuse – it is a company that offers a loss-leader $10 per month sample box with 3-4 samples of very high quality, small batch artisan treats each month.  The retail value on these samples is usually around $20, so it’s not only a really fun way to try some new tasty treats, but it’s a bargain. Petit Amuse bets on the fact that subscribers will love what they try and want to purchase more.  This pushes Petit Amuse to pick only the best, most unique products to include in  their sample boxes. And the sample box they sent me was fabulous!

Petit Amuse is on a mission to help the artisan foodies! For a litany of reasons, the odds are stacked against small artisan food producers. Even the best products often don’t get distributed outside of their local markets, never reaching a majority of foodies who would love to buy them if only given the opportunity. Hence, the Petit Amuse $10 a month Sample Box – filled with delicious goodies to excite YOUR palate. If you’d like to try out some new, delicious artisan treats, it’s your lucky day!

Ben and Petit Amuse would like to give away one of their sample boxes to one lucky ready! Just follow the directions on the Rafflecopter giveaway form to be entered for your own Artisan Sample Box.
