MyBlogSpark, GM Cereals, and Target sent me a Halloween gift pack a while back with three boxes of vintage monster-themed cereal including Count Chocula ®, Boo Berry ®, and Franken Berry® Cereal and a $20 Target gift card. They’ve also been kind enough to offer an additional gift pack for one lucky reader.
Happy Halloween!
I don’t really like the ingredient list in the cereals, but my kiddos practically drooled over the boxes which I have to admit are pretty cute. They each got to enjoy a bit for breakfast and made really silly Halloween art, too. We love to decorate for fall and Halloween each year. We hang artwork, carve pumpkins, put out the Halloween table runner. I like the gourds and Indian corn and pumpkins. Decorating for Halloween is a fun family tradition for us.
I’m sure my kiddos would love for me to buy them this cereal each year, too. My mom never bought me sugary cereal as a child and that is one of her traditions that I have kept alive. But I do have to confess how much my children enjoyed their bowl of that cereal. It was pretty funny to watch.
And they spent a long time making their art work, too. It doesn’t hang on the wall very well…but they had really had a good time creating with cereal and have asked me repeatedly to buy them more {for crafting purposes, of course, they claim…}
The $20 Target gift card they sent is mine, though!! I might challenge myself to see how much food I can get with it. I used to be quite good at pairing Target sales with Target coupons AND manufacturer coupons. Or, I might just go buy myself a very unpractical piece of jewelry. We’ll see how I feel…

My kids are not so old that they wouldn’t love boxes of sugary ceral, though! I wouldn’t say I never buy sugary cereal, but it’s certainly not a common purchase.

Have A Happy & Blessed Thanksgiving!
We take the kids to a REAL pumpkin patch and everybody picks their own pumpkin,all 6 of us. It’s getting harder with each passing year to find a real pumpkin patch – I’m not talking about one of those carnival places that you end up spending $100 on carnival rides, cookies, candy, and whatever else they try to sell you. I want a real pumpkin patch where the pumpkins may still be growing on the vine and the fun is finding the perfect pumpkin, not climbing the rock wall or riding some rickity ride. The kids have lots of fun, and dad always walks away with some oversized pumpkin that takes just about all of us to load it up in the car.
