Karen from reCAP Mason Jars sent me a couple of her nifty spouted lids to try out a while back. I have sooo many mason, ball and kerr jars because I do a lot of canning and I’m really trying re-purpose my jars for other things instead of wasting my money on different storage products. I have mason jars full of my pantry products, but I also like storing liquids in them.
One thing I make a lot of that I need help storing is liquids. I love storing my maple syrup and homemade salad dressing in my mason jars, but the problem with the jars are the lids. They don’t pour well with the ring lids! And my salad dressing ends up dripping and dribbling all down the jar, creating a big mess. Yuck. Enter reCAP!
These awesome, BPA-free lids, have a really handy pouring spout that turns mason jars from simply cute into both cute and functional! Simply fill your jar, screw on the lid, shake and pour. NO leaks!!! That’s impossible with the ring lids – you know what I mean if you’ve ever tried to pour from a mason jar without a spout.
I really enjoy sharing information about responsible and sustainable companies, and I’m happy to report that reCAP is both. They work hard to achieve zero waste, power their office with solar power, and use renewable or recycled materials whenever possible. reCap lids are also made in the USA!
