Pineapple Pomegranate Smoothie is one of our favorite non dairy smoothie. Essentially, it’s a fruit nice cream and it’s a healthy and delicious treat.

I don’t know if this technically qualifies as a smoothie – maybe slushy would be a better description? Regardless, if you like tart, healthy drinks, this one’s for you. We love it around here!

How to Make a Pomegranate Smoothie

Put the ingredients in the Vita-mix in the order listed above, turn it on variable 1 and then quickly turn it up to high 10. Blend a couple of minutes, and use the tamper until everything is nicely blended.

Drink in the wonderful vitamin C, vitamin B1, and potassium from the pineapple and more vitamin C, vitamin B5, and beta carotene in the pomegranates. YUM!

What Else Can I Add to a Pineapple Pomegranate Smoothie?

As I’ve written about in other smoothie recipes, the best part of smoothies is that they are endlessly customizable! This recipe is very simple. Add coconut milk, yogurt or a banana to make it creamier.

Add chia seeds and ground flax seed for added nutrition.

Try adding other fruits or vegetables that are in season such as oranges, grapes, carrots, or spinach.

What to Serve with Smoothies

Typically, we have smoothies when we are heading out the door in the morning or when we need a quick snack midday. Make your breakfast a bit more substantial by serving it alongside a Frittata, dairy free pancakes, or blueberry scones.

  1. This must be wonderful with sweet, ripe pineapple. I’ll have to keep my eye on our local produce section.

  2. Looks delicious! We drink a lot of pomegranate lemonade in the summer. I never thought to add it to a smoothie. Thanks for sharing!
